If you are using a Xbox headset or any wired headphones it will not work unless you have two aux chord out puts. You plug those both into the two inputs on the top front of the pc. As of your no sound issue, I struggled with the same thing. Plug your hdmi or display port into the graphics card. It is below the 3 audio ports. There are many black plastic tabs. They might not seems like they pull out but they do, you won’t break it. If you are using vga, insert the green audio cables included with the pc to your monitor. This should fix your issue. Also your monitor might have an aux Jack to plug your headphones into also. As for a mic, you need an additional one or get a pc headset with two prongs.

It is a very board term just like Vegetable. Even I contacted BestBuy, they do not know what sound card this model used and even the store manager at Pasadena, CA refuse to help to find out this information. To me, it is very irresponsible for their customer, because they do not know what they are selling. This model is ibuypower build specific for BestBuy, so no information about this model is on ibuypower website. So if anyone not really knowing how to troublshoot computer, should really go with the big brand.
