“What is the hdmi port located at the rear top of the system for? I tried hooking up a monitor to it but it doesnt get detected from it.”

That is the output of the motherboard. And with the motherboards that come with these systems once an graphics card is detected the hdmi on the motherboard will no longer give an output. If you are looking to plug your motherboard in, use the outputs on the graphics card. And the graphics card has 1 hdmi and 3 Display Port if I'm not mistaken. Have a Great Day!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The i7 9700F doesn't have integrated graphics. This motherboard does support other processors that do have onboard graphics and the hdmi port would be functional with those cpu(s).
