“connected computer as per the instructions, plug in power cord, flipped the switch, but when I push the power button on the top of the computer it will not turn on. I see a green flashing light inside of the computer and the mouse will light up.”

While I'm sure you've fixed this by now it's likely the connection within your tower to your power button came loose. Give IBuyPower a call and have them help you plug it in. If it's something worse, they should be able to help you or guide you on what to do.
