I'm sorry I gave you the wrong amount of ram that is possible of installing in this computer. I stand corrected and am sorry for the misinformation I previously answered you with the maximum amount of ram you can install is 32GB of DD4 @ 2666/or 2400/ or 2133 of non-ECC, UN-buffered memory
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You never have to have the same exact brand I you do have to have the same speed. If you have ram the runs a 2666mhz then your second stick also needs to run at 2666mhz as long as that matches up you can have two different brands and two different sizes as far GBs go i.e.: 2GB, 4GB, 6GB and so on the most that you can add to this system is 16GB or two 8GB sticks.
