Hi there, based on Frigidaire’s official ice maker installation and use instructions for the IM117000 / top-mount refrigerator ice maker kit, the manual states a very consistent startup timeline: - First ice production begins within about 24 hours after installation - Minimal ice is normal during the first 24 hours - It typically takes 1–2 days to fill the ice bin under normal conditions Yes, at the beginning, it often feels extremely slow. The manual explicitly sets expectations that: - It is not meant to produce a full bin quickly on startup - Air in the water line + initial calibration slows the first cycles When it is NOT normal. If after: - 48–72 hours - Freezer is confirmed cold (around 0°F / -18°C) - The water supply is steady, and the filter is good It is still producing only a few cubes or nothing, then it’s likely an installation or flow issue rather than normal startup behavior. - Maico
