• Yes. During normal operation (when alarm is not sounding), if the Dimmer Mode Switch on the bottom of the unit is set to Manual, pressing the Snooze/Dimmer Button controls the brightness level (8 steps, HIGH to DIMMER 1 and DIMMER OFF settings) of the LCD display and buttons. When the Dimmer Mode Switch is set to AUTO (default), the display will dim automatically in low light and the Snooze/Dimmer Button dimmer function is disabled. • Yes, it has 7 or 8 different settings that go from completely off to very bright. I usually keep it at 2 - pretty dim, but I can see it if I wake up in the middle of the night and want to check the time.
