I'm not sure. I have an HP tower and it pairs just fine with my computer. Look in settings under bluetooth and other devices . If your laptop has bluetooth capabilities it should work fine. If it's not too old, you should have bluetooth capabilities. I know my old laptop was 5 or 6 years old and it had bluetooth. I will note that it took a few times of pairing and unpairing to recognize it for my computer (or maybe it was just that the speaker was brand new? It still takes a few moments after it turns on to "get the signal" or something. Good luck.

The iBT68 is compatible with most bluetooth devices. You need to contact HP to discuss the specs of your specific model number and pairing instructions. Remember to press and hold the + and - button at the same time for 10 seconds until you hear a beep to clear the current bluetooth settings before trying to pair to a different device.
