Physical copies have a shelf life and need to be sold by retailers, but with digital copies they barely go on sale cost nothing to sell so can stay forever at any price. You are better off buying from the Playstation store or Xbox marketplace, Nintendo eshop, etc. if that is your preference is to digital games. They are the same game just a matter of physical and digital, plain and simple.
