“I am hoping for an answer from the manufacturer--what is the specific reason this freezer has the Prop 65 Warning? Is it the coolant used, off-gassing from paint? I noticed one of the smaller Insignia chest freezers does not contain the warning.”

More than likely it is the Refrigerant. since all that is left in the freezer is sheet metal, copper tubing, plastic, and foam insulation. Unless you cut into the freezers copper tubing or decide to eat the plastic or foam, the Prop 65 Warning is there just as a disclaimer and CYA.
