You're about 16" short of the 6 feet power cord and i just measured mine to equate that back-up and the manual reads: 6 ft. (1.8 m) and the 1.8m(?) but you'll likely be better off w/extension cord but it is imperative that you get the "correct" ext. cord and i'll copy mine below with the specs. that I asked one of the Home Depot guys what they thought in looking at the Refrige's info. and agreed it is sufficient for usage on this refrigerator. + as it is, the shorter the cord the better and the one i purchased is 3 foot (and that just does it for my use and where frige sits from outlet). Power measurements (per manual): AC115V-60 HZ 3 ft. 14/3 SPT-3 Wire Air Conditioner/Major Appliance Extension Cord with Right U-Ground Plug in Gray And then she'll Rock! :)
