Of course. That shouldn't be a problem even if your garage freezes. You can use it in your garage, but expect it to use a lot more energy especially in the winter. I have a chest deep freeze in my garage in the summer in Texas. We have lots of days 100+ and I have had no problems with my freezer. Just keep in mind that if it runs constantly then it may not last as long.
