this seems like it could be a malfunction that is likely covered under the manufacturer warranty. i would recommend two things; firstly, leave the fridge on overnight. it can take time for it to get cold and for it to just detect and such. second, if it still doesnt get cold within 48 hours of being plugged in and such, return it to the store you purchased it from and speak with them about a replacement or refund.
