• I was advised to plug it directly into the wall. Plugging it into another extension cord is not a good idea. I have another TV that is plugged in to it.

• I plug it into my surge cord when using it with electronics, tv, sound. Im currently using for a fan and its plugged directly to the wall. Nice cord, love the low profile plug.
