No, the cable is not directional. Make sure you have the correct input selected on the tv, and that the Apple TV is powered on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No this is Not directional, it can be used either way, both ends are the same so it doesn't matter which end goes to which connection! But make sure you don't need a special connector for you Apple TV, it is the right connection for the Sony!

Please try again later.I don't believe any HDMI cables are directional in the sense that signals only travel in one direction however there may be HDMI cables with different connectors on each end for special uses but I don't know. The cable I bought has normal HDMI connectors on each end and is not sensitive to how it is plugged in.
