• Cables don't matter it's the equipment, most cables made in the last 4-5 years will support 4k

• It might, but the signal integrity would suffer. $k requires a higher voltage and frequency than what this cable is designed to support. If you're going to 4K get the correct cable. I recommend Monster or a cable manufactured by the maker of your TV set.
