“How does the door alarm work? Do buttons need to be pressed every time you open the freezer to avoid setting off the alarm? Can it be disabled?”

• I don't see any way to disable the alarm. I looked on the freezer and at the instructions. It is just a quick beep, but don't expect to sneak out the ice cream.

• We have not had any issue with the alarm going off when opening the door.

• Hi Insignia Customer, thank you for your question. The door alarm on this freezer works automatically and only sounds if the door is left open for several minutes. It turns off as soon as the door is fully closed. You don’t need to press any buttons when opening or closing the freezer, and there isn’t an option to disable the alert. Vennila | Insignia
