High temp light is a warning light, if you get a high temp light your cooling system is failing for some reason. You can unplug the unit and then plug it back in, it the light stays on you will need to likely replace tge unit, repair costs at least for me cost as much or more the the freezer. This happened to me and it was cheaper to buy a new freezer.

Garage Ready Convertible Upright Freezer is an indicator that the internal temperature of the freezer has risen above the safe range for storing frozen food. This could happen for several reasons, such as: - The door being left open for an extended period. - A power outage causing the freezer to lose cooling. - The freezer being overloaded with warm items. When this light is on, it’s a signal to check the freezer and ensure that it’s functioning properly to prevent food spoilage.
