Thank you for your inquiry! The issue you're experiencing with one of your Insignia™ 13.8 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Convertible Upright Freezers being difficult to open—so much so that the entire unit slides when you pull on the door—is likely due to a combination of factors. One common cause is the vacuum seal effect, where the freezer creates a strong seal after being closed, making it temporarily hard to reopen. Another possibility is that the unit is placed on a smooth or uneven surface, causing it to slide when force is applied to the door. If the leveling feet aren’t properly adjusted, the freezer won’t have enough grip to stay in place. Additionally, a tighter or misaligned door gasket can increase resistance, especially if it's newer or stiffer than the one on your other unit. Even small manufacturing variances between two identical models can result in noticeable differences in how easily the doors open. To reduce the sliding, you can try adjusting the leveling feet to tilt the unit slightly backward or place non-slip pads under the feet for better traction. Keith | Insignia Support
