I would imagine it would depend on how FULL the freezer is and how long the power is out. I try to keep it as full as possible (freezing bottles of ice if necessary) and when I know power has gone off, I stuff blankets or pillows in and around the food, condensing to as few shelves as possible to help keep them frozen. Then DON’T open the door again until power comes back on so the cold stays in there as long as possible
