Let the freezer stand upright for approximately two hours before connecting it to power. This reduces the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from improper handling during transportation.

The Freon is liquid until the unit is running for a short time, and will run out from the compressor unit into the tubing. If the unit happens to be placed in a horizontal position, you should setup in the vertical position for 24 hrs. prior to starting. See YouTube.
