Your cooler is designed to be free-standing only, and should not be recessed or built-in. Your wine cooler needs at least 1.6" (4 cm) between it and the surrounding walls and ceiling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The manual states it needs at least 1.6" (4cm) between the surrounding walls and ceiling. 6" should be just fine. The back does not get warm at least not that I've noticed. The sides get a tiny bit warm, and I think 6" is fair.
