A:Answer I assume that you're referring to the IEEE T-568 standard. A or B. Oddly enough, it matters so little as to not be a concern except for the most data intensive environment.
As long as both ends are using the same standard, it is a straight through cable. One side in A and the other in B and you have a cross-over cable. Modern equipment does not need a cross-over as it will auto cross.
CAT 6 is good up to 10 GBps for short runs and will easily do 1 GB, 2.5 and possibly 5 GBps for the length of this cable.
