• Yes. It does have a compressor and is not thermo electric

• Yes it is a compressor run unit. The only downside is i would recommend purchasing a fridge thermometer to place inside because the thermostat doesn't have temp on dial.

• If it is like the one I have....while yes it is a tabletop, it is a compressed run and very noisy
