Press and hold Lock for three seconds, then + or - on the control panel to set the temperature. I found the user guide here: https://www.insigniaproducts.com/pdp/NS-UZ17WH0/6336449 We bought ours as an emergency replacement while waiting on warranty repairs on our fancy Four Door Fridge/Freezer and this little guy has been working well so far. I wish, however we has purchased the larger model, but we just needed to get what was immediately available. We love that it can be changed from a Refrigerator to a Freezer and back at will.
