This temperature ensures that food stays frozen solid and prevents thawing or spoilage. Since the freezer is labeled as "Garage Ready," it should be able to handle varying ambient temperatures, but in colder environments like a garage, setting it slightly higher than 0°F may be necessary to balance effective freezing without excessive energy consumption. It's important to avoid setting the temperature too low, as this can lead to frost buildup and reduce the freezer's efficiency over time. Referencing the user manual provided with the freezer will provide specific guidance on temperature settings and adjustments tailored to different environmental conditions.
