“Someone in one of the reviews said that if there is a power failure, this refrigerator will not restart on it's own once the power is restored and you have to unplug and plug it back into the outlet. If that's true that's a horrible design?”

I haven't had that happen, but if you are considering this Insignia refrigerator, I highly recommend an Igloo cooler instead. Way better quality. Seriously, though, this thing is not worth the frustration with the wire racks, freezer won't stay shut, defrosts all over the floor and inside of the fridge - and we don't even have water hooked up to it.
