In Reality Our Refrigerator's Go at the Worst Times and Mine Certainly Did! I had my Refrigerator for 40 Years YES 40 Years they Don't Even make the Brand Anymore so here I was Thanksgiving Week looking for a Refrigerator thank goodness it was a 2nd Refrigerator for me Not my Main One! Although I use this Refrigerator for Storing Christmas Cookies in the Freezer Part and in the Refrigerator part Fruits and Vegetables and Believe it or Not Skincare Products. I was Really in a Bind I Really Needed this Refrigerator Especially for my Christmas Cookies. Luckily I found, this at Best Buy and I couldn't believe the Price! I First saw it Online then went into the Store and couldn't believe the Room it had in it! They told me I could have it Delivered and Set up in 3 Days! I knew I had to get it. Especially when knowing Every where else I called wanted Double the Price at Least and Delivery was Going to be at Least a 3 week Wait! Its been Now about 3 Weeks with the Refrigerator and its Running Great! It Does make Some Strange Noises but they tell me thats Normal, and its Only when you open the Doors up and close them right after that you hear a humming noise after that its Quite. I purchased the White one. I think if Your Looking for a Refrigerator/Freezer I think you will be Very happy with this one, you will have a lot of Spacious Room in the Freezer part and Refrigerator Part as its Wide and Deep. Also its Not built Cheaply at All. Its a Very Sturdy Refrigerator/Freezer.

First I want to say that although I had problems, Best Buy was top notch in handling them. I'm very pleased with Best Buy's handling of this (which is why they still got 4 stars). The first one had a faulty gasket on the main door hinge line that would bind when you closed the door. The second one sounded like a jet idling for take off, with a tiny heard of cows inside it. That high pitch refrigeration noise could be heard over the TV. It drove me nuts. If you're getting it for a garage or basement, no problem. You don't want it close to a living space. Both of them made noises. For a very basic fridge, which is all I wanted, the Samsung is the winner. I ponied up a few more bucks and got that one. It's available at Best Buy. I really like it. It has real glass shelves instead of rubber coated wire racks. Just hands down better.

First off, the price couldn’t be beaten! $579 for a brand new 18.1 cu ft fridge! I purchased this unit for a rental property that I own, I needed a basic unit without any extra frills, so this was perfect. Now, I will say that the functionality thus far is great… though the unit is still empty and has only housed my bottled waters while cleaning it up and readying it for tenancy. Unfortunately, it looks like it went on a wild ride en route to my home. I noticed when the guys got it off of the truck, they took several photos of it. Now, this could be protocol, but as I’ll share, it might be bc they spotted damage. The delivery guys scraped the utility dolly on my newly painted doorframe when they brought it in, so I was focused on that as it was left in the kitchen. They very quickly exited and headed out. It wasn’t until they left that I saw about a half dozen indentions on the freezer door… about the size of a nickel. I brushed it off bc I didn’t want to deal with processing a return/exchange. Well, the guys that came to do the install portion a few days later pointed out two long dents on the left side. At that point I put in a call to Best Buy and they extended two options to remedy. I ended up accepting a partial refund, which satisfied the issue. It was a couple of weeks after that that I went to put all of the trays into the doors when I realized the large door tray was broken. I ordered another one and I don’t know how/why, but a motor showed up… with the invoice reflecting the tray description and model number?!?! A tray is supposedly in route and should be arriving soon… I hope! All and all, I’m happy with my purchase. I could have done without all the hiccups, but there are worse things that could have happened and these have been relatively easy to remedy… without too much extra effort on my part.

Bought this as secondary refrigerator. We have an extended family. The size of this refrigerator is perfect. Not too small and not too big. No fancy features. It works well and plenty of space. Should work really well as a main ref for small homes or apartment. Doors can be configured to open on either side. Prior to our purchase we checked other stores and other brands. None came close to the value of its size. We're satisfied with our purchase.

Decided to add another secondary fridge to the basement to prep for the holidays and my beer collection. This fridge was priced lower than most for like models. This reinforces the saying of you get what you pay for. The fridge looks like any other from the outside but its the inside that you start to see some cheapness. The shelves are not solid and are wire grates that sag under weight, 2-3 6 packs of beer. Still plenty of room around the beer but seems to worry me. Something to watch over time, also the door does not seem to close naturally, even with weight in the door. I made sure to level the fridge from front to back and side to side, still have to make sure door seals every time. Temp controls are easy and it seems to be working great from that aspect. Main issue seems to be with the wire shelving, sags and hard to store individual bottles since they continue to fall over by themselves. Fridge works but not without having to troubleshoot some of its shortcomings.

These fridges from Insignia are pretty decent. Made overseas, so you'll find little QC issues here and there. Mine had a random screw and some scrap insulation floating around on the inside. Other than that it was in good shape minus a couple tiny nicks in the black finish, mostly around the edges. After plugging the fridge in the temp rose to where it needed to be within a couple hours, and the compressor is pretty quiet. Cons: The wire shelves could be better. The gaps between the wires are to far apart, causing most drinks to flop over. The only other gripe is that there's only one small storage container on the door. Having a 2nd one would give some needed space for cheese and lunch meat. I ordered a 2nd small storage container with lid (sold seperate) on encompass parts for $50 shipped with taxes. If you were to do the same use the parts that pull up for the Midea brand refrigerator. Once you type the model into the encompass website two different brands pull up. Same fridge, just made for 2 different companies. For some reason more parts are available for the Midea than the Insignia.

This fridge I purchased for additional food storage in my Garage. It's a quite and spacious fridge with all basic features. It's quite and does good job of cooling and freezing. Only thing I wish it had was an additional shelf in freezer and also one more in Fridge. I sometimes have to pile.up my food items, and not easily accessible, as.i need to remove the upper item before taking out the bottom one.

We were looking for an inexpensive fix for our dire refrigerator situation. Our old one conked out pretty much within ten minutes of the mandatory lockdown announcement. So, immediate loss of income, immediate expensive need. This Insignia fridge caught our eyes, so we ordered it. It was delivered promptly and expertly by two gentlemen who were very courteous and very professional. Got it set up, and it's been good to go ever since. It's spacious enough to stock food for a family of four, and fits nicely in the space allotted to it in the kitchen. As a self-indulgent bonus, we also had an ice maker installed (NOTE: if installing the Insignia ice maker, be sure to have a compression inlet hose handy as it doesn't come with one in the kit). Now complete, the fridge is awesome!! We're very satisfied with the brand, the look, and the fact that it works great!!

This refrigerator is a nice compromise between a compact and full size refrigerator. We bought it to put in our garage. My only complaint, and reason for 4 vs 5 stars, is the freezer is a bit small and the door does not close and seal on its own. So consequently, the freezer has been left open multiple times and frosted over. Not sure that's a manufacturer problem or failure on our part, but other than that, we are really happy with the extra space it provides us and how its operated so far.

This refrigerator is great for the price. I was trying to get something just for myself. Not to big, that would still look good in the kitchen. And it fits all those needs

I got this for a really good price under $500 plus $40 to remove my old one. I like that it is a good 6 inches taller than my Frigidaire I had that I felt I had to stoop too low to get into. It seems to cool just fine and has just the right amount of space I need with a little extra actually. I like the moveable shelves on the door.

I like this fridge big and store a lot stuff and Food The door is holding milk and juice a lot space I putting in the basement and the freezer is big too

This is a fantastic refrigerator for a great price. I have no complaints or negative feedback to give. It works perfectly, and was even delivered to our office for free by professionals (they were punctual and kept me updated on their ETA & delivery arrival time). I am very happy with my purchase, and will certainly be a returning customer!

This fridge is the perfect size for a single person & the plastic wrapped wired shelves are sturdier than I thought they would be. I did buy some clear plastic bins to hold smaller jarred items(olives, jelly, sundried tomatoes, cheeses, ) so they aren't tipping over on the wired shelves & to keep items organized & 1 tray specifically made for holding 12 oz soda cans.

I bought this in an emergency situation. I got great help from Best Buy getting this item and I needed it. This is not fancy, it makes funny noises, like wild animals live in it. It does work and keeps food at the correct temperature and is energy efficient. It was inexpensive and plain. The box had three dents in it and those three dents correspond to three dents on the refrigerator itself, which is not pretty but does not effect the function. I would have complained in person but due to the COVID-19 the store is closed. The directions to change the door from right to left are wrong as well.

Sides mid height are unexpectedly hot/warm to the touch while motor is running which is noticeable. Lacking insulation maybe? Makes weird groaning & cat like sounds. Same issues as Media. Lowes Item #2515238 Model #MRT18S2AWW Another 18 cubic foot model. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ NO parts list. Manual does not included. How would customer identify part to order? Wire Rack shelves are too wide gap. Some items placed on shelf will not stay level. Freezer door developing drag or scrape feel. ++++++++++++ Customer Service is Insignia Group not usual Best Buy. Both work as expected, price was right, etc. However one was damaged so badly it tilts—I was able to level it with the very sturdy packing material delivered with the refrigerators, but I have had the dangedest time getting Geek Squad to return my emails about this issue. Still, fridge and freezers work, my electric bills are stable, I can now stash A LOT of food, etc.

The Perfect Garage Fridge! Keeps our beverages cold and our extra frozen goods… frozen! Two thumbs up!!

Bought this refrigerator for my newly renovated garage. Had to switch the dor on the opposite side witch is not an easy task but manageable. Work great for my project. Had the same model on stainless steel on one of my office.
