Earbuds and earphones are just a type of speaker. Any type of audio output device can be connected to the TV, such as speakers, earbuds or stereos, if you use the 3.5mm or digital coaxial connection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two separate types of audio output - one to go to external speakers and one for headphones. If you are using the kind of wireless headphones or earbuds that have a transmitter that connects to a microphone jack, then that works. (My headphones actually want a classic audio connection - the kind with two plugs like for speakers. I had to use an adapter to turn that into a microphone connection for it to work on the TV - no idea why.) My headphones have a base unit connects to the microphone jack and then transmits to my headphones. If you're talking about the bluetooth wireless earbuds you use to bluetooth connect to your cell phone, then no they won't work.
