“can I put a cromecast plug into the hdm1 socket?”

• We use an Amazon fire stick, which, I believe, works the same as the Chromecast. We had no issues plugging it into the hdmi port. We did use the extender, supplied by Amazon. Chromecast also provides an extender. Very easy.
