• Yes. Antenna OK if close to transmitter and all you want to watch are broadcast programs. Cable will receive all broadcast programs plus cable channels.

• Dano, either an antennae or cable connection to watch on air TV programming works. I have an antennae and get all the local channels. Experiment with height and place your antennae where you get best reception. Be sure to run a new channel search with every new antennae placement.
