Are you using the HDMI (digital) input? If you are using the composite analog (yellow) input, the maximum resolution is 480i. That is the video standard for the "yellow" input jack on any TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine comes up with whatever resolution my source video is. In the case of my Verizon FIOS box (which is defaulted to 1080i mode in its own menu) when I come out of the menu on this Insignia TV, it says "1080i" on the screen. (Of course it is down-scaling it to 1366 x 768 internally; that's the native resolution of the LCD panel in this TV). If you are getting only 480i, you might want to check the resolution of your source video. If you are playing a DVD, for example, those ARE 480.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had that happen once after a power outage and my DirectV had to be rebooted. After the reboot I went to the settings with my DirectV remote and set it to 1080 and the Insignia then went back to 720.
