“I do not need a TV but this product would fit exactly where I need it. My use is as a monitor to connect to my laptop (cpu for 2 other monitors). I don't need it now but like the idea of a TV connection on it someday.”

If you get this model, you will need to also get a vga to HD cable adapter. It no longer has a direct vga connection. I'm not sure when they stopped adding that connection to the TVs. However, if your laptop has HD connections, then this will be excellent. Especially if you find one open-boxed.
