• I'm not sure what you mean by a retro console, but I have hooked up an old vcr to it to watch some old tapes and it works just fine. Hope that answers your question

• I do know that my VCR can't be used with it, even though it has a TV setting as well as an AV setting. I'd be doubtful about the N64, but can't say for sure.
