You can plug it in and it should work with an analog, antenna that receives locally available over-the- air channels. I connected my cable tv wire to the back of the set and it worked great The tv takes a little time from when you turn it on until the picture is displayed. Otherwise, for the price, it's great.

The unit doesn't include an antenna in the box and the purchase of this TV doesn't include installation/setup.
