• It should be compatible with your Hitachi TV. Make sure you go in the sound settings of the TV and change it to PCM.

• As long as the format is pcm it should work. If not... the RCA cables will work

• You can connect this soundbar to a TV that has a Digital Optical Audio Output, change the Audio to PCM format from the TV settings. Another option is to connect the soundbar to the 3.5 mm headphone jack on the TV.
