“How do I pair just the soundbar to my spectrum remote? Does the subwoofer have to be connected to pair with a remote? Is there an audio accessory code?Spectrum has no clue, Best Buy has no clue and Insignia tech support has "disconnected me" twice. HELP!”

To pair just the soundbar, you could always just not plug the subwoofer into an outlet. The sub does have to be connected to an outlet to pair, it pairs with the soundbar not the remote, the remote controls it through the soundbar. I wouldn't know about accessory codes, sorry, I just went into the tv settings and selected Optical Out instead of speakers. Look through your television settings menu in the sound options since it sounds like that may be where your problems lay.
