Try another optical cable. Could also be the optical ports. Compare with RCA

Then, I would inspect the optical cable to see if it's damaged by bending it while the sound is on. Also, inspect the optical cable connections to your TV and to your soundbar. Disconnect the blue-tooth connection if the soundbar is paired. I would also inspect the remote to see if a button isn't stuck in. Inspect the audio/digital out settings on your TV. If could be the TV also that is causing the problem. If that doesn't help, contact Samsung Tech. They will provide you with good information about what you can do to fix the problem.
