make sure that the sub is paired before placing it away from the sound bar, that's what I had to do when i installed it..

Try to reconnect the subwoofer by pressing the PAIR button on the subwoofer for three seconds. The status indicator blinks turquoise on the subwoofer when they are disconnected, or solid turquoise when they are connected. If this does not work, press and hold the sound source selector button on your soundbar for three seconds. Your soundbar’s LED blinks turquoise and connects to the subwoofer.
