“Can this be synced to the TV so the TV volume settings control the volume of the sound bar? I don’t like the fact that I have to use 2 remotes. It’s connected to my LG tv using the digital audio cable if that helps.”

If you I have it wired correctly you should be able to use your television remote to control the sound and the LG remote should be programmable to sync into the insignia if not go into the controls and see if you can make the choices so you leave the sound bar turned on high and your volume control on Your TV controls the output going to the speaker that way it works if you don’t have a programmable remote but the remote should be programmable so you can link it to the other volume switch
