“My house is pre-wired for surround sound. I don't have anything for surround sound yet. Is this item able to add speakers to it at a later time to make a "surround sound set?"”

No there is no way to add speakers that i know of so i bought a speaker system called Altec Lansing for a PC or Laptop and it simply plugged into the Head Phone Jack of the TV WOW it OUT PERFORMS BOTH THIS SOUND BAR AND MY OTHER SAMSUNG 36INCH !!
