• No tray or sheet needed, I’ve been using this fridge for months and haven’t had one issue with it leeking on my carpet at school.

• KC, I've had my fridge for over a month. It has never drained or leaked water. I'm guessing it might be an issue when you defrost it. So, I would lay some towels around/under it for that purpose. Other than that, you should be fine with it on carpet.

• The freeze unit has a drip tray but it's not very deep. About half and inch, but it covers the entire freeze unit.
