“How much distance should there be on the sides to allow heat to dissipate? This will be on a shelving unit in a barn where there is dust in the air. Don't want to start a fire.”

• Unit generates a little to nothing heat on the lower back only. Door and sides are plastic and always cool to touch.

• Allow 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space between the back and sides of your refrigerator and any surrounding walls. This allows proper air ventilation.
