How does it compare to one like this? null

this is one of the best I've seen.

That adaptors does not work with SATA drives that needs an external power supply. Most laptop drives and smaller does not need any external or additional power supply but the larger one needs a separate dedicated power to work.

I currently own both these items. The hard case is a permanent solution for old hard drives you want to use like a USB stick (larger version) without causing damage when transporting them from one place to the next (ESD). The one in the picture I use it for short term use. for Example creating a disk image for Hard-drive upgrade in desktop computer or laptops.
