• It hooks in with a USB 3 drive (only 1 USB drive port is needed) on your main computer but does house and lets you read/write and exchange data from both of these drives and and of your main computer.. Super versatile..works great.

• It has 1 usb 3 type b port to connect to a pc. The other 3.0 type a is only for connecting a flash drive from my understanding. I used 1 drive but it advertises that it can connect 2 simultaneously over just the one type b to type a cable supplied.
