These are home theater speakers they aren't meant to be used for small portable devices. You should just buy Bluetooth bookshelf speakers. They have them from Insignia for $80.00. That is a bargain price for those speakers. These speakers need to be powered by a good and sufficient amplifier. I searched for speakers for a lighting cable connection and they don't make one to bare wire so that means you need or want bluetooth bookshelf size speakers instead not bare wired connected speakers. I hope this helps you with you decision.

Here’s a step-by-step guide: 1. Connect the iPad to the Amplifier: - Use a 3.5mm to RCA cable. Plug the 3.5mm end into the headphone jack of your iPad (or use a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter if your iPad doesn't have a headphone jack). - Connect the RCA ends to the input jacks on your amplifier or receiver. 2. Connect the Speakers to the Amplifier: - Use speaker wire to connect the red (+) and black (-) terminals on the speakers to the corresponding terminals on the amplifier. - Ensure the connections are secure and match the polarity (red to red, black to black). 3. Power On and Adjust Settings: - Turn on your amplifier and set it to the correct input source (the one connected to your iPad). - Play music from your iPad and adjust the volume on the amplifier to your desired level. This setup will allow you to enjoy your music through the Insignia speakers with enhanced sound quality. If you need any further assistance or have more questions, feel free to ask!
