• Yes you can or they have a hole under the screw terminals where a bare wire can slide through and you can tighten the screw down on it for a secure connection.

• Bare wires to the speakers themselves. The other end can be whatever your component uses.

• I believe so. The speaker posts are normal twist cap type. I seem to remember seeing the whole in the caps that should fit standard banana plugs.

• I believe you can insert banana pins. The knob that rides over the male screw has a hole along its axis for banana plugs. The male threaded stump also has a through hole sideways in case you want to insert stripped wire and tighten the knob over it.
