It sounds like you have a dirty or defective hdmi port on the tv. Even the cheapest $1 cable should work fine. If the roku and cable work on other tvs and not this one then it's probably the hdmi port that is the issue. Did you try using the other hdmi port? There are 2 ports so you can tell if quickly if one of the ports has a problem. If the problem happens with both hdmi ports on the tv...try reversing the ends of the cable...and if that doesnt work then try a gold plated hdmi cable which can still be purchased for $1-$3 online. Also...most people have multiple hdmi cables hanging around their home. I know I have at least 8 laying around...so just try another cable or borrow one from a friend or family member so you can figure out if you need to return the tv or just buy a new one. But no matter what a store salesman tells you...you DON'T need an expensive fancy hdmi cable for this tv and roku device. I am in the photography & video production field and all of my tv and monitors look and work dandy with dirty cheap hdmi cables. If you invest in a $10,000 home theater system then it makes sense to buy the best $20-$40 cables...otherwise cheap is totally fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Arthur. Basically any HDMI cable should do the work. Our model NS-PG06501 is our shortest option. Carlos V. - Insignia Support https://www.insigniaproducts.com/contact-us
