This keypad needs nothing plugged in. It's via Bluetooth. It's the first time I ever set up a Bluetooth device and it's great! No ports needed! Very easy to use.

It is cordless/independently discoverable. I paired my purchase w/o reading the instructions. If you've paired Bluetooth devices before, and even if you haven't , the unit will pair and connect easily. FYI
