• Yes, the TV has a built in NTSC analog tuner as well as a built in ATSC, 8-VSB, Clear-QAM Digital tuner.

• From what I can tell, yes. Upon first power-up it scans for channels, and counts analog and digital channels separately. However, I still needed a box from my cable provider to view some channels. Recently my cable provider changed the signal, and EVERY TV needs this box.
