You will need to purchase an external antenna like used to called "rabbit ears" to get local channels. Also, Firestick does not play well with many cable providers who want to protect their income.

Then, on the HOME screen, navigate to the INPUTS row and select Antenna. Next, go to Settings > Live TV > Channel Scan and start the scan, making sure the antenna is positioned correctly to receive signals. If the problem persists, try unplugging the TV from the power outlet, waiting for about a minute, and then plugging it back in before scanning for channels again.
